DeepSeek’s AI breakthrough triggered panic, proving China can match OpenAI and Google for a fraction of the cost. No taxes on workers under 18 yrs old. I love it because:

1. They need experience to pick a college major

2. They need to develop a work ethic

3. The economy needs more workers

4. They don’t get to vote

Lauren Boebert: So many of our youth have lost the opportunity to enter the workforce due to high minimum wage requirements. High taxes, insurance, and paid leave requirements are a few of many issues as well. Small business owners are unable to invest in first-time workers or provide them with skills training for their future.

There has been many examples of tax reduction on hiring unhirable people, but the problem is that these systems become exploited. But if the tax exception is tied to age, employees will of course take advantage of it, but there is no way to turn 18 year olds into 15 again that isn’t easy to spot. So while the kids will take adults’ jobs, they will not out-compete them, and there will be more jobs, and more young adults with job-skills (maybe not a trade skill, but at least the skill to show up for work).
