Meta released Llama 3.1 (tech details), and the idea is that other companies, universities, NGOs and government use it, so that Meta can deliver a better product. Zuck’s vision is that there will be more AI models than humans, doing all sort of stuff like talking to your customers, and I’ll add: To you friends, family and other network.

I fully agree with Mark Zuckerberg, as I basically always have done since I got to know him as this new guy in social media as I’ve been running Elftown.eu since 2002. Where I don’t agree with him is about stuff he isn’t passionate about and haven’t through through (and vice versa).

At a huge scale, open source makes sense mathematically. I couldn’t make profit from Elftown due lack of scale, but the more people there are that use a digital service, the less cost per person and the more profit you can make per person.

Like me, even Elon Musk approves of this move to open source by Zuck. And Zuck agrees on the closed AI OpenAI.

I think that WHO is a terrorist organization, but is it possible to be a member of UN if you call them terrorists? This will make it easier for UN to sanction Israel and possibly even USA. Israel’s hateful behaviour will turn it even more into a paria.
