I haven't drank alcohol in a year and don't miss it, BUT I LOVE SUGAR!!!!! Especially before I go to bed. I only weight 113 pounds so obviously im not gorging it but I think avoiding sugar (and sugar substitutes) would be much harder than quitting alcohol. BTW, when I used to drink, I didn't crave sweets as much. In the US it's almost impossible to avoid all sugary things, they are in everything these days hidden as different words under ingredients. It is something I think about all the time. I bet Ive consumed pounds of Splenda in the past 20 years.
I do feel that alcohol is protecting me from sugar cravings somehow, so that that is true in my body too. What are people who don’t do alcohol nor sugar doing? Too much protein that give them a high blood sugar?
