Since assuming power in 2022 he’s setting an example for all MENA nations in a post colonial world. He’s using his nation’s resources to benefit his people. He’s so far done the following:
1- Curbed corruption in government and military salaries. And kept his modest captain’s salary.
2- He nationalized two major gold mines and halted all transfer of unrefined gold to Europe. A minimum of 150 tons of gold will now stay in Burkina Faso.
3- Established a national support center for artisanal cotton processing. And made significant investments in agriculture.

The economy of Burkina Faso is not going great, but pretty good and ever better, according to Grok. Ibrahim clearly has much more to do, but he seems to be working for his people since the coup 2022. With more skills in the leadership, it’s looking good, and like Milei and Bukele, an extremely successful Burkina Faso will change entire Africa and the rest of the world.
