A quick take on who is who in Europa
Americans call us “White” (or “white” if they are jews), which is just insulting as if a colour defines us. Of course a pseudo-continent doesn’t do that either but that is better, and don’t get me started of Caucasian - WTF is Caucasian with Icelanders? Why not “European” for someone from the peoples of Europe?
The most odd people are the the Basques that live in the western border of Spain and France. But 3 million there, and 16 millions elsewhere, even if mixed with out people in Chile 5M, Argentina 3.5M. Basque language is not Indo-European, and of unknown origin.
Then the Finns (+ related Sami, Estonians and some other groups in Russia), that are of Ural origin and genetically very different from other Europeans, but also mixed with Swedes. The island Åland is an anomaly: It’s Swedish speaking only, while the rest of Finland is bilingual on paper (but in practice not in many parts). Normally language minorities in Europe speak the main language of the country, for example Hungarians in Slovakia, Serbia and Ukraine, but very few on Åland understand much Finnish.
The Hungarians, Magyars, also came from Ural and spoke a language related to Finnish, but not understandable. The Magyars did pick up other tribes on the way and the natives of the Carpathian Basin when they arrived in 895, and became a Christian state around 1000. Interestingly, Hungary gets invited to Organization of Turkic States (OTS) events as an observer state, and the Hungarians maintain a few traditions from the great plains.
Another Turkic people were the Bulgars that created an empire in 681, and later become Christian in 865 under Boris I. But while being Turkic, Tracian, Latin and Greek were spoken in the area, and under Boris and Saint Cyril, Old Church Slavonic which was the Slavic language modern Bulgarian comes from.
But north of Bulgaria is Romania, another country that just joined Schengen. A Tracian language was spoken there, but after 100 AD, Latin started to be spoken. Romanian was however for a long time written in Cyrillic letters like the Slavic languages that had influenced it, but from 1800 AD it was replaced with Latin and it’s a Catholic country, unlike Orthodox Bulgaria.
Mainly Europeans are Germanic in the west and Slavic in the east. In the Roman provinces France, Italy, Spain etc, they now speak a Romance language, but the population is mostly immigrated and invading Germanic tribes. The Franks for example, but many unnamed Germanic people immigrated before the Roman Empire dissolved.
One exception was England that Angles, Saxons and Jutes (in Kent) forced their Old English language upon, only to get French forced upon them by Viking Heirs like William the conqueror from 1066.
Some Celtic languages survived in the west of France and the British and Irish islands, and that those are Indo-European languages, but very different.
Germans->Saxons: Confusing as there are areas in Germany called Saxony, but Saxons were a west Germanic tribe that move to south England around the 600th century. Think of them as Dutch-Danish kind of people.
British->Anglo-Saxons: The Angles settled in North West of England (south of Scotland) and now in that area the Norse (Danish) heritage is much stronger. When Russians now say “The Anglo-Saxons”, they mean the jewish Mob and the banksters in City of London (which is not a part of UK and is older than England, but rules over the Kingdom via their infiltration).
Swedish->Goths? Sweden has 4 parts: Finland, that is no longer a part of Sweden, Norrland that is the Northern part of the country were Norwegians, Svea, Sami and Finns co-existed, because the enemy was the Arctic cold, not other humans generally.
Then Svealand was the most conservative part of Scandinavia and abandoned the old Gods the last. This is the area from Stockholm-Uppsala to the Norwegian mountains in the west.
And then Gothia in the South of Sweden. Note that The Svea, Goths and Danes spoke the same language 1000 years ago, but the Norwegians didn’t, but were understandable, and so were the Anglo-Saxons during the Viking times 800-1050. They needed translators for Latin though, and of course when they visited “Atle” (Attila the Hun) as written about in the Sagas.
Russians->Slavs? Of course, but there are some Mongolian influence in the Moscow Russian, and then there are redhead Ural peoples and too many native population to mention. Russia (as if that was a person) sees it as created by Kievean Rus who had tight connections to Sweden, but seem to not have been Swedes. The Russian state was created out of Moscow, but the Russian nation out of Kiev.
French people->?? It was a Germanic tribe, that started to speak Latin - well, sort of, it was Vulgar Latin. First Caesar genocided a lot of the Celts in France, and then the Roman culture killed off most of the population there, so the Germanic tribe of Francs moved in. There are still strong Germanic roots in French like “le héros” and “l’ honneur” - None of the “H” are pronounced but the hero has a Germanic H, while the woke honour has a “Latin” H.
People from jordan with green eyes, but arab->Levantine? The Norman Vikings just paused in Paris, taking Normandy (in France), before William subdued England, but then they conquered Sicily (You know the place where the Ashkenazi Jews came from), and then Palestine and they held on to Lebanon and Syria for a long time.
Scottish->?? Scottish people are Celts or way more ancient tribes that have been there for a very long time, plus later invading Norwegians.
Irish->?? Similar, but Danish and Norwegian Vikings established a big presence in Dublin, and UK treated Scotland and Ireland very differently, and Scotland left Catholicism, which Ireland half-did, but reverted during the fight against the fight to break from from the Satanic Bankers of City of London.
