Don't exercise close to bedtime!

A recent study of more than 14,000 WHOOP users finds that exercising as close as 4 hours to bedtime can tank your sleep quality. For example: A maximal-intensity workout ending 2 hours before sleep delayed sleep onset by 36 minutes and reduced sleep duration by 22 minutes. The same hard workout reduced sleep quality, increased overnight heart rate by 4 bpm, and reduced overnight HRV by 14%. Exercising more than 4 hours before habitual bedtime was safe - with no impact on sleep - and sometimes appeared to improve sleep quality.

“Israel will never know a day of peace again”

On May 4, 2025, a ballistic missile launched by Yemen's Houthi rebels struck near Ben Gurion International Airport, Israel's largest airport, located close to Tel Aviv. The missile landed approximately 75 meters from Terminal 3, creating a 25-meter deep crater in an orchard within the airport's perimeter. The attack, claimed by the Iran-backed Houthis, injured at least eight people, with injuries reported as mild to moderate. Air traffic was temporarily halted for about 30 minutes, and several major airlines, including Lufthansa, Air France, and Delta, canceled flights for Sunday, with some extending cancellations to Monday or Tuesday. The Israeli military confirmed that multiple attempts to intercept the missile using the Arrow defense system and the US-made THAAD system failed, and an investigation is underway. Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, vowed a strong retaliatory response against the Houthis.

Video: The deadliest cat on Earth

The black-footed cat (Felis nigripes), also called the small-spotted cat, is the smallest wild cat in Africa, having a head-and-body length of 35–52 cm (14–20 in). Despite its name, only the soles of its feet are black or dark brown.
