The epicanthic fold is common in Saami people, who speak a language similar to Finnish, but Finnish people very seldom have the fold. The Saami people did mix more with the Norwegians, who then migrated to Iceland.

Much of MMT has been sponsored by billionaires such as Soros and Mosler, for instance via Soros' "INET".

I suspect the Soros-type people of the world created the marketing brand “MMT” from post-Keynesian economists and economic writings as a counter-balance to my work. Such controlled opposition operations are standard practice, whenever someone gets close to the truth and gets a bit of publicity. Then they will pull out those who they position as “critics” but whose narrative they can control, usually with the crucial policy recommendations being considered harmless or inconsequential, and promote them massively in the mainstream media, as was done with “MMT”, which received huge write-ups in the Financial Times and elsewhere.

As far as they told me in debates, MMT people recognise bank credit creation, but studiously ignore the important disaggregation into the types of use, eg credit for asset purchases, credit for consumption, credit for productive business investment. They also ignore the power and role of central banks.

Instead, they pretend that the central bank is the same as the government.

They make the false claim that any government deficit spending is money creation.

It seems to me their job is to encourage the expansion of the national debt so that the rentiers who live off the government bond coupons acquire an ever growing share of the national income pie. Which is bad for society and only helps to make the super-rich even richer, while crushing the middle and lower income groups.
