A warning from me in Sweden to Africa
What people in for example Africa should learn is what happened to people in northern Sweden 160-50 years ago: They were used to survive and did it well, but suddenly some got rich on timber, and sugar arrived. My father's mother lost her teeth at 18. Timber industry poisoned many lakes. 50 years ago centralization happened which was in many ways even worse. Instead of building, it was more profitable to figure out how to get handouts from Stockholm. This is turning back now, and big cities in Sweden are losing their attraction. Like they do in Mongolia, I am going back to the rural prosperity with my family.
