The CrowdStrike was not due to a bad update!

The update only contained data, but no code. So it should have been safe. The bug already existed in the code for a a long time, but only some data will trigger it. So if one has CrowdStrike on Mac or Linux, that will be affected by other data, and that data might not trigger a crash, but something that breaks security.

This bug should have been discovered, but one can see why it wasn’t as “it worked”.
