Watching GPT-4 build the sentence is a good demonstration of what a generative algorithm actually does. It just calculates the next most likely word to follow the previous word. I see it as a rather hideously complex jumped up Fibonacci sequence (I.e n [a word] is dependent on n - 1 + some other vectors)...
