Henrik, I was flabbergasted when you brought up the story about negotiating contracts with the Chinese. This has also been my experience, not in contract, but rather actions by a housemate that conveyed his desire to take whatever advantage that could be had from his room rental from me. He literally started a group school to teach life skills to 10 teenagers (a good thing theoretically) inside my house without asking or even telling me. It was astounding to me. He saw no problem with it, just found another place to do so when I said WTF.!! But I do tell the story and his name- Kiliii Dreaming. Maybe if he apologized? but as long as he is cool with it, I am cool with telling the story. I would advise avoiding him for any financial dealings.
Wait until you deal with other immigrants. I ordered some chicken and chips from a shop operated by an immigrant. What I got was cold chips and cold, whitish chicken, unlike what he had on display; which I never had anywhere before. I consumed them but said nothing.
The next time I walked past that store he had the audacity to expect me to come in again! He was ready to serve me.
That place had a new operator a few months later.
There is only one rule for business: keep your customers happy or satisfied with your products and/or services.
i have had plenty of bad meals eating out...many types of food....i dont see that particular correllation around here....what I was referring to was more a deliberate attempt to capitolize on a situation to gain advantage without any consideration as to the effect of something as significant as having 10 teenagers around suddenly all eating in your kitchen and using the facilities for his $350 a month. Good luck getting better chicken and chips but bad cooks are from all cultures I am quite sure. I do loves me some good chips with beer. Best

Of course, I have a few other stories.
